For those of you who thought hockey would fail in Seattle, you may need to think again. On Thursday the city did a test run to gage interest in an NHL team in the city with a season ticket holder sale. They were looking to get 10,000 season tickets sold but in less than a day acquired 33,000 season ticket holder deposits. The team would play in Key Arena which was renovated.
The fee to apply to the NHL? Just 10 Million Dollars.
Anyone remember the Seattle Metropolitans team of 1917? That team won the Stanley Cup.
